Data Modeller

Responsibilities:

* Subject matter expert in BI/EDW data model, FSLDM
* Comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s business initiatives
* Design and develop logical data models for all new projects and enhancements
* Communicate with the BAs and business to understand the business requirements; subsequently transform business requirements into conceptual and then logical data model
* Communicate with the DB designer to develop the PDM
* Review and advise all parties regarding the integrity and alignment of the model
* Maintain and publish Bank’s LDM and PDM
* Evolves models to meet new and changing business requirements
* Develop processes for capturing the metadata from all data warehousing components

Requirements:

* Experience in developing, managing and updating logical data models of the data warehouse, data marts, and reporting layer.
* This is a senior position, with 5 to 10 years extensive working knowledge and experience in medium to large EDW projects.
* Strong conceptual, communications and time management skills
* Proven team player attitude
* Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
* Strong relational and dimensional data modeling
* Financial Institution background, preferably FSLDM
